Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Home Economics lessons covering nutrition, food and nutrition, home management, and clothing textiles in alignment with the dual NERDC and British curricula.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive, safe, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Mentor and guide students, instilling practical life skills and encouraging healthy lifestyle choices rooted in moral values.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and school leadership to plan school events, practical exhibitions, and cross-curricular activities.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.Sc, or equivalent in Home Economics, Home Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience within a structured primary or secondary school setting.
- Strong and comprehensive subject knowledge of food, nutrition, textiles, and home management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
