Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive lesson notes and schemes of work prior to every class and submit weekly to the Head of Department.
- Deliver engaging, student-centred Home Economics lessons that foster critical thinking and practical skills.
- Administer, mark, and record Continuous Assessment (CA) scores accurately within stated deadlines.
- Identify struggling learners and provide targeted academic support to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development training sessions, and school extracurricular programmes.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments as well as external examinations like WAEC and NECO.
- Possess a B.Ed, B.Sc, or BA with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Must be registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) or show a strong willingness to register immediately upon employment.
- Demonstrated subject mastery with strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in Arabic will be considered an added advantage.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) curriculum.
- Computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from N50,000 to N75,000, determined by qualifications and experience.
