Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Home Economics lessons aligned with both British and Nigerian secondary school curricula.
- Teach students practical aspects of nutrition, food and nutrition, home management, clothing, and textiles.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic and practical development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom and laboratory environment for practical cooking and sewing sessions.
- Participate in school events, curriculum development meetings, and extracurricular activities related to home economics and student welfare.
- Maintain accurate academic records and communicate student progress effectively with parents and school management.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.Sc, or HND in Home Economics, Home Science, or a related field with a professional teaching qualification (TRCN certification is an advantage).
- Proven professional teaching experience within a reputable secondary school setting.
- Familiarity with both Nigerian (WAEC/JAMB) and British (IGCSE) educational standards is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
