We are currently seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and tech-savvy Home Economics / Fashion Design and Garment Making Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. In this role, you will empower students with essential life skills, creative design techniques, and agricultural knowledge, preparing them for a bright and self-reliant future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging, curriculum-compliant lesson plans for Home Economics, Fashion Design, Garment Making, and Agriculture to students in Years 7 through 12.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages active student participation, creativity, and hands-on learning.
  • Design and implement effective formative and summative assessments to accurately evaluate student progress and skill acquisition.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators to continuously improve curriculum design and share best pedagogical practices.
  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and active participation during parent-teacher meetings.
  • Integrate modern educational technology seamlessly into practical and theoretical lessons to enhance the overall learning experience.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics, Fashion Design, or a closely related field.
  • Mandatory possession of a valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification.
  • Demonstrated prior experience teaching Home Economics, Garment Making, or related vocational subjects in a recognized secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain discipline and enthusiasm in a practical workshop and classroom environment.
  • Technologically competent with a proven ability to leverage digital tools for lesson delivery and administrative tasks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for interacting effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
