About the Role
The Potter's Geroworld is a home-based healthcare and rehabilitation organization dedicated to geriatric rehabilitation and long-term care. We enhance mobility, independence, and overall well-being by delivering expert, patient-centered care directly to our clients. We are currently looking for a dedicated Home Caregiver to join our expanding team in Abuja, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support safe client mobility, execute fall prevention strategies, and assist with light household tasks related to patient care.
- Monitor clients' overall well-being, follow personalized care plans, and offer meaningful companionship.
- Coordinate effectively with physiotherapists, dietitians, and family members as needed.
- Provide reliable medication reminders in strict accordance with company protocols.
- Maintain accurate and clear daily records of activities, health observations, and client changes.
- Travel to various client homes within Abuja and remain available for scheduled shifts, including potential 24-hour rotations.
- Demonstrated caregiving and elder care experience, preferably in home-based or geriatric care environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills characterized by empathy, patience, and clear communication.
- Practical expertise in personal care, safe transfer techniques, and activities of daily living.
- Ability to closely follow care plans, observe health changes, and report concerns promptly.
- Solid understanding of health, hygiene, and safety protocols in domestic care settings.
- High level of reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Minimum of a relevant caregiving certificate, community health training, or equivalent experience, with formal geriatric training being a distinct advantage.
