About the Role
The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), a premier federal tertiary health institution in Nigeria, is seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to join its esteemed workforce as a High Estate Officer. Key Responsibilities- Assist in the day-to-day management of land, buildings, and other landed properties belonging to the hospital complex.
- Conduct routine inspections of institutional facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure optimal utilization.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date property registers, tenancy records, and asset documentation.
- Liaise with external contractors, vendors, and relevant government agencies regarding property documentation and statutory compliance.
- Support the valuation of institutional assets for insurance, lease, and administrative purposes.
- Resolve minor tenant and lease disputes under the supervision of senior estate management personnel.
- Prepare periodic reports on facility conditions, property status, and recommendations for improvement.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Estate Management from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory evidence of completion of or valid exemption from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
- Strong working knowledge of property management principles, valuation, and maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and property management software is an added advantage.
