About the Role
Popville Luxury Homes, a premier real estate developer specializing in AI-powered luxury residences in Abuja, is seeking a dynamic Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer. In this role, you will champion a proactive safety culture across our prestigious sites in Mabushi and Wuye, minimizing risks and ensuring strict regulatory compliance while supporting our commitment to sustainable, high-tech architectural excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identifications, and job safety analyses across all active construction and operational sites.
- Deliver engaging HSE training, safety inductions, and daily toolbox talks for employees, contractors, and site visitors.
- Lead thorough investigations into all workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Design and enforce robust environmental management plans covering waste reduction, pollution prevention, and sustainable resource conservation.
- Establish and execute effective emergency response and evacuation plans, coordinating regular safety drills and simulations.
- Perform routine site inspections and internal audits to identify operational gaps and present actionable compliance reports to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven HSE experience, preferably within the real estate development or construction sector in Nigeria.
- Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH, HSE Level 3/4, or equivalent local regulatory accreditations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian health, safety, and environmental laws and regulatory frameworks.
