About the Role
Halogen Group, West Africa's leading integrated security solutions provider with over 25 years of industry expertise, seeks an experienced Head of Risk and Compliance to strengthen our governance framework and operational resilience. This strategic leadership position will partner with senior management to identify and mitigate business risks, establish robust internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide enterprise-wide risk assurance.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and oversee enterprise risk management and internal control frameworks aligned with organizational objectives
- Lead and develop the Risk and Compliance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across all business operations
- Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic risk advisory to support sustainable business growth
- Engage with regulatory bodies and external assurance providers on compliance matters
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary policy and procedural updates
- Provide senior leadership with assurance on operational, financial, and compliance controls
- Minimum 10 years' experience in risk management, internal controls, compliance, and audit
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related field
- Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or CFE required
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing risk and control frameworks
- Strong experience in regulatory engagement and investigations
- Exceptional strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management capabilities
- IT systems audit and risk management experience desirable
- MBA or Master's degree highly advantageous
- Must reside in Lagos
