About the Role
Dangote Cement Plc, a subsidiary of Africa's most diversified business conglomerate, is looking for a visionary and results-driven Head of Production to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this executive leadership role, you will oversee and coordinate the efficient production of high-quality clinker and cement to generate optimal revenue while ensuring operations run at peak plant capacity at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and articulation of the overarching production strategy for Dangote Cement Plc.
- Create and manage the plant's production, capacity, and materials requirement plans in line with strategic objectives.
- Prepare annual production budgets, drive resource optimization, and ensure all operational targets are met.
- Coordinate and manage the production team to achieve daily output targets within specified quality, budget, and time parameters.
- Liaise with the Maintenance department to coordinate planned shutdowns for production lines and kiln lining repairs.
- Stay abreast of global cement production trends, innovations, and best practices to recommend continuous operational improvements.
- Provide overall guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to the entire production workforce.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, with at least ten (10) years in a senior management position.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the local and international cement industry, regulatory frameworks, and manufacturing trends.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, relationship management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with strong supervisory, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
