About the Role

TAAS College, Ibadan, a prestigious co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition, is seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate professional to join our leadership team as the Head of Welfare and Boarding Services. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of the school boarding house.
  • Ensure the absolute safety, health, and well-being of all boarding students.
  • Develop, implement, and review comprehensive welfare policies and boarding procedures.
  • Coordinate robust student support services and engaging pastoral care programs.
  • Supervise boarding staff, conducting regular performance evaluations and ensuring adherence to school standards.
  • Maintain proactive and transparent communication with parents, guardians, and school management.
  • Monitor boarding facilities continuously and recommend necessary infrastructural improvements.
  • Handle student welfare concerns, disciplinary matters, and emergency situations with tact and professionalism.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Administration, Guidance and Counselling, or a related field.
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant professional experience in student welfare, boarding management, or school administration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing student welfare programs, boarding facilities, and pastoral care.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence.
  • Strong problem-solving, crisis management, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping, reporting, and basic computer applications.
  • Impeccable integrity, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to child safeguarding policies.
  • Worship and alignment with the Islamic values and traditions upheld by the institution.
  • Residency in Ibadan or close proximity to Abeokuta Road, Ibadan is strongly preferred.
