About the Role
Reliable Steel & Plastic Ind. Ltd. has been a trusted leader in manufacturing top-quality products since 1998. We are currently seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Head of Supply Chain to lead and coordinate our end-to-end supply chain operations at our Nigerian facility. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure seamless material availability, optimize inventory levels, and drive operational excellence across all procurement, warehousing, and logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with company production and business objectives.
- Lead procurement, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution activities.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, packaging, and spare parts for uninterrupted production.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Establish robust inventory control systems to prevent stockouts, overstocking, material waste, and excessive working capital commitment.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality Control, Sales, and Finance to forecast material requirements.
- Monitor inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective transportation of materials and finished goods.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, train, mentor, and supervise the supply chain team while preparing regular performance reports for management.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in a senior supply chain or managerial role.
- Extensive experience working within manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, plastic, steel, or related production environments.
- Strong expertise in demand planning, ERP systems, supplier negotiation, and inventory management software.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, commercial awareness, and leadership abilities.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, ASCM, or equivalent will be a distinct advantage.
