About the Role
TAAS College, a premier co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition located in Ibadan, is seeking a dedicated and visionary Head of Quranic, Arabic and Islamic Studies. In this leadership role, you will oversee the Islamic studies curriculum, mentor teaching staff, and ensure academic excellence within a serene and modern learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Quranic, Arabic, and Islamic Studies curriculum.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teachers within the department to foster continuous professional growth and pedagogical excellence.
- Monitor student academic progress, spiritual development, and overall welfare in alignment with Islamic values and school standards.
- Organize Islamic extracurricular activities, competitions, and special school events such as Quran memorization programs.
- Collaborate with the school management and other academic heads to integrate Islamic principles across all school subjects.
- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student performance and departmental initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Quranic Studies, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of teaching and leadership experience in a reputable Islamic educational institution.
- Demonstrated fluency in Arabic and proficiency in Quranic recitation and Tajweed rules.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Commitment to student safeguarding, professional integrity, and the Islamic ethos of the college.
- Relevant teaching licenses or professional certifications will be an added advantage.
