About the Role
Alan & Grant is a premier Human Resources and Business Advisory firm dedicated to crafting impactful solutions for our clients. We are currently expanding our enterprise capabilities and looking for a dynamic Head of Procurement / Supply Chain to join our team in Nigeria. In this executive role, you will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations with a strong focus on transparency, cost efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability, managing everything from vessel arrival to 3PL warehouse distribution.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full import process, collaborating with customs brokers and authorities to ensure timely clearance and prevent demurrage or detention.
- Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to optimize forecasting, inventory management, and the order cycle for finished goods and POS materials.
- Develop, implement, and centralize purchasing policies, outsourcing guidelines, and vendor qualification procedures in alignment with HQ.
- Monitor operational costs, implement cost-saving initiatives, and ensure robust internal and external benchmarking.
- Strengthen local quality awareness through onsite warehouse audits, KPI reviews, and targeted training programs.
- Ensure compliance with national Health & Safety regulations and report sustainability risks, opportunities, and KPI metrics to HQ.
- Master's or University Degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement within an international supply chain environment.
- Proven expertise in cross-functional strategic business integration and project management.
- Working knowledge of SAP R/3 and APO is a strong advantage, alongside advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Specialized qualifications in Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be considered a significant plus.
