About the Role
Prime Atlantic Cegelec Nigeria (PACE), a joint venture dedicated to advancing the Nigerian oil and gas sector, is seeking a qualified Head of Mechanical for a one-year offshore contract. In this critical role, you will lead maintenance operations for rotating, static, lifting, and marine equipment, ensuring optimal performance, asset integrity, and strict adherence to HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance plans, procedures, and spare parts coverage in alignment with company maintenance policies.
- Provide expert technical oversight to resolve equipment failures, prevent loss of performance, and drive reliability.
- Serve as the Technical Authority for Mechanics and SECE Guardian for critical safety and prevention systems.
- Manage vendor and contractor resources, including scope definition, logistics, performance audits, and contract administration.
- Ensure accurate data capture in SAP (UNISUP) and perform maintenance data analysis for operational optimization.
- Coordinate major overhauls, interventions, and modification studies while maintaining strict cost control and budget preparation.
- Mentor, train, and develop national engineering and technical staff, and act as Maintenance Operation Manager when required.
- University Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant equivalent discipline.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of turbomachinery and offshore mechanical systems.
- Minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with at least 5 years specifically in the petrochemical industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a supervisory or leadership operational position.
- Proven expertise in maintenance methods, spare parts management, and HSE compliance within oil and gas operations.
