Established in 2013, the hospital operates as a licensed secondary healthcare facility providing 24-hour medical services to individuals, families, and communities. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of Laboratory Department (Medical Laboratory Scientist) to join our professional team in Jos.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the medical laboratory department to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Perform and supervise both routine and specialized laboratory tests with high precision.
- Ensure accurate results and maintain stringent quality control and assurance standards.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate advanced laboratory equipment regularly.
- Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff to foster professional growth.
- Manage laboratory inventory, supplies, and departmental budgets effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure full compliance with regulatory health standards.
- Liaise closely with clinicians, hospital management, and patients to improve diagnostic workflows.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Current and valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional laboratory experience, including hands-on bench work and supervisory or administrative roles.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and laboratory information systems.
- Strong analytical, technical, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
