About the Role

The Label Store is a leading, fast-growing supermarket chain dedicated to providing customers with quality groceries, household products, and excellent customer service in a convenient shopping environment with multiple branches across Lagos State. We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Head of Human Resources to lead and oversee the entire HR function across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the Human Resources function across all organization branches.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Partner with Executive Management on workforce planning, organizational development, and people-related business decisions.
  • Lead talent acquisition, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for all departments.
  • Oversee performance management systems, driving accountability and high organizational performance.
  • Manage employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and compliance with Nigerian Labour Laws.
  • Design learning and development programmes to improve staff competence and leadership capability.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits administration, salary reviews, and employee welfare programmes.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives that foster a positive work culture.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of cognate HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position within retail, FMCG, banking, or structured organizations.
  • B.Sc. or HND in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
  • Possession of relevant professional certifications such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or CIPD is a strong advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in talent management, performance appraisal systems, and HR analytics.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
