About the Role
Stresert Services Limited is recruiting a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance on behalf of Grange School Lagos. In this vital leadership role, you will provide strategic direction and operational management for the school's financial systems, ensuring compliance with international education standards and statutory regulations in Nigeria. You will work closely with the Governing Council, Head of School, and Head of School Operations to secure the institution's financial health, optimize resource allocation, and drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage, and develop comprehensive financial procedures, systems, and budgets for the school.
- Prepare annual income and expenditure estimates, financial statements, and accurate statutory remittances including PAYE, VAT, WHT, and CIT.
- Advise the Governing Council and senior management on investment policies, financial appraisals, and long-term business plans.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, payroll management, monthly bank reconciliations, and fee collection.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure financial reports fully comply with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Maximize income-generation capacity through strategic grants, facility lettings, and fundraising initiatives.
- University degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Compulsory professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a senior financial management role.
- Strong commercial awareness, exceptional analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in financial software.
