About the Role

Alaro City, a premier mixed-income, city-scale development in Lekki, is seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of City Utilities to drive the growth of our utilities business. In this vital senior management role, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of city-scale infrastructure, including water, power, gas, telecom, and ICT. You will collaborate closely with the Construction and Delivery team and Rendeavour group management to deliver world-class utility services that power a thriving urban community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and execute comprehensive business models, financial strategies, and development plans for city-scale utilities.
  • Oversee budgeting, policy development, operations, maintenance, personnel management, and contract implementation.
  • Lead critical engineering activities and coordinate cross-functional teams to integrate procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and reporting deadlines.
  • Foster strong working relationships with regulatory agencies, government bodies, consultants, and customers.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in utility infrastructure, engineering setups, electricity generation, or water treatment and distribution.
  • Proven expertise in the construction, operation, maintenance, and commercial sales of utilities including gas and sewage treatment.
  • Strong background in project management, business analysis, budgeting, and regulatory negotiations.
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
