About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head, Mines Operation to lead and manage our extensive mining activities in a highly productive and safety-conscious environment. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient, safe, and cost-effective extraction of raw materials to meet our rigorous plant production targets while maintaining strict regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive strategic leadership and oversight for all daily mining operations.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term mine plans to achieve organizational production objectives.
- Ensure a continuous, high-quality supply of raw materials to meet all plant manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate all critical mining activities, including drilling, blasting, excavation, haulage, and material handling.
- Monitor mining performance against approved budgets, production targets, and operational KPIs.
- Optimize equipment utilization and operational efficiency to maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams of engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulatory requirements.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective, data-driven solutions to improve overall mine performance.
- Collaborate closely with technical, maintenance, production, and executive management teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications and industry memberships will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in mining operations, with proven expertise in large-scale open-pit environments.
- Extensive background within the cement, quarrying, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of mining principles, advanced problem-solving skills, and sound commercial acumen.
