About the Role
Eastern Plains Integrated Farms Limited (EPIFL) is a leading integrated agribusiness enterprise based in Igbariam, Anambra State, Nigeria, specializing in large-scale poultry production to meet growing national food demands. We are currently seeking a strategic and analytical Head, Internal Audit and Control to lead our assurance functions, safeguard company assets, and ensure robust operational integrity across all levels of our enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive risk-based internal audit plan covering key agricultural departments, processing operations, and supply chain functions.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, standard operating procedures, approval thresholds, and proper segregation of duties.
- Oversee rigorous reviews of financial transactions, payroll integrity, inventory levels, procurement cycles, and cash flow controls.
- Lead thorough investigations into suspected fraud, stock variances, procurement irregularities, and vendor collusion to minimize financial leakages.
- Monitor and ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and contractual obligations.
- Prepare actionable audit reports and dashboards using advanced ERP and data analytics tools to present insights to senior management and the Board Audit Committee.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Active professional certification such as ICAN (ACA), CIA, CISA, or ACCA is strictly required.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in internal audit, internal control, risk management, or compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated industry experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, agriculture, or high-volume physical-stock distribution environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and modern data analytics tools like Power BI, IDEA, or ACL.
