About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head, ICT to lead our information and communication technology function in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will provide comprehensive technical and strategic direction to ensure reliable systems, secure infrastructure, seamless data protection, and innovative digital solutions that actively support our business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the bank's ICT strategy in direct alignment with overarching business objectives.
- Oversee critical IT infrastructure, applications, networks, systems, and technical support services.
- Ensure the high availability, reliability, security, and peak performance of all mission-critical ICT systems.
- Manage comprehensive cybersecurity, data protection, access controls, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
- Lead the successful implementation, integration, and maintenance of core banking applications and technology solutions.
- Drive forward-thinking digital transformation and technology initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, ICT policies, and recognized industry best practices.
- Manage ICT vendors, service providers, service-level agreements, and complex technology-related projects.
- Monitor potential ICT risks and guarantee the timely resolution of system incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Prepare insightful periodic ICT performance, security, and risk reports for executive management.
- Lead, mentor, supervise, and develop a high-performing internal ICT team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Possession of relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CCNA, ITIL, COBIT, or equivalent is a distinct advantage.
- A relevant Master's degree is considered an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in a senior or managerial ICT role.
- Strong, demonstrated experience working within banking, microfinance, fintech, or other heavily regulated financial institutions.
- Expertise in ICT infrastructure management, cybersecurity frameworks, banking applications, IT governance, and technology project management.
