About the Role
Energy People, a premier human capital development firm specializing in the energy sector, is seeking a strategic and experienced Head, HSEQ to drive our health, safety, environment, and quality initiatives. In this pivotal leadership role, you will champion our commitment to operational excellence, ensuring that our clients and internal operations maintain the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with international standards and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
- Conduct rigorous risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement proactive corrective actions.
- Provide expert guidance on environmental protection, occupational health, and quality assurance across all operational touchpoints.
- Design and deliver impactful HSEQ training programs to foster a proactive safety culture among employees and contractors.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, industry stakeholders, and client leadership to ensure seamless compliance and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HSEQ experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the Nigerian oil, gas, or energy sector.
- Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian HSE laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
