About the Role

Egbin Power Plc, located in Lagos, is the largest thermal power generating station in Sub-Saharan Africa, committed to bridging Nigeria's electricity deficit through innovation and operational excellence. We are currently seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of HR Operations to lead our human resources operational activities, ensure a seamless employee lifecycle, and cultivate a highly engaged and compliant workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the consistent implementation of HR operational policies, procedures, and employee handbooks across all business units and locations.
  • Manage the comprehensive employee and industrial relations framework, ensuring fair and transparent handling of grievances, disciplinary cases, and union engagements.
  • Maintain data integrity within the HR Information System (HRIS) and ensure full compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulations (NDPR).
  • Direct employee lifecycle processes including leave management, health and wellness administration, and structured offboarding.
  • Drive internal communication initiatives, staff engagement surveys, and welfare programs in alignment with QHSE and ISO standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the HR operations team while managing departmental budgeting and strategic work plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related field.
  • Mandatory professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial HR Operations or HR Generalist leadership role within the power, energy, or industrial sector.
  • Strong expertise in Nigerian labour laws, HRIS management, industrial relations, and data protection compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
