About the Role

Egbin Power Plc, located in Lagos, is one of the largest and most vital power generating stations in Sub-Saharan Africa, dedicated to meeting Nigeria's rapidly growing electricity demands. We are currently looking for a strategic and visionary Head of Corporate Communications & Branding to lead our corporate messaging, protect our corporate reputation, and elevate our brand visibility across all traditional and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with Egbin Power Plc's corporate vision and business objectives.
  • Safeguard and proactively manage the company's brand identity, ensuring absolute consistency across all internal and external channels.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key media stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and community partners to enhance corporate visibility and foster collaboration.
  • Lead crisis communication efforts and reputation management initiatives to protect the organization's standing.
  • Oversee internal communications to drive employee engagement and alignment with overarching corporate goals.
  • Manage host community relations by addressing stakeholder concerns and aligning expectations to support smooth operational activities.
  • Supervise digital communications, social media strategies, and corporate events including product launches and CSR initiatives.
  • Mentor, guide, and provide leadership to the corporate communications and branding team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CIPR, CIM, or IABC are a strong advantage.
  • 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, and brand management within large or multinational organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in media relations, crisis communication, and executive stakeholder engagement.
