About the Role
Westfield Consulting is seeking a strategic and experienced Head, Compliance & Risk to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this executive capacity, you will be responsible for safeguarding the organization against regulatory, operational, financial, and reputational risks while ensuring strict compliance with local and international standards. This role combines strategic leadership, rigorous oversight, and proactive risk management to protect business continuity and sustainability across our high-impact operations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure full adherence to Nigerian petroleum regulations, NUPRC, NCDMB, environmental laws, and waste management standards.
- Oversee compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and NDPR data protection requirements.
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate business risks.
- Conduct comprehensive audits across financial, operational, IT, and compliance areas, providing independent assurance to the Board.
- Advise executive leadership on corporate governance, ethical practices, and statutory filings, serving as Company Secretary where required.
- Review, negotiate, and approve high-value contracts including EPCIC, joint venture agreements, and marine services to mitigate legal exposure.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B / B.L) from the Nigerian Law School; MBA or LL.M is an added advantage.
- 10 to 15 years of professional experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles, with at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership position within the Oil and Gas sector.
- Professional certifications such as ICSAN (Chartered Secretary), CIArb (Arbitration), or recognized Risk Management certifications.
