About the Role
Denam Properties Limited is a dynamic real estate development company based in Abuja, Nigeria, renowned for delivering high-quality homes and exceptional client experiences since 2017. We are currently looking for a talented and dedicated Head Chef to lead all kitchen operations at DAL (Denam Apartments Limited). In this role, you will be instrumental in elevating our culinary standards, ensuring that every guest enjoys exquisite meals prepared with precision, creativity, and the highest standards of hygiene.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and update innovative menus tailored to guest preferences and business goals.
- Supervise the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality meals while ensuring strict portion control.
- Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen staff, including the Assistant Chef, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Manage food inventory, monitor stock levels, oversee proper storage, and track expiry dates to maintain optimal freshness.
- Control food costs, minimize kitchen wastage, and maintain accurate records of all culinary supplies.
- Ensure 100% compliance with kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor kitchen equipment usage, ensuring proper maintenance and promptly reporting any faults.
- Culinary certification, diploma, or a relevant professional qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional culinary experience in reputable hotels, restaurants, or serviced apartments.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or Head Chef role with strong leadership capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of food safety, menu planning, inventory control, and kitchen management.
