About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and culturally grounded Hausa Language Teacher to join our dynamic faculty and inspire our students to appreciate and master the Hausa language and literature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and structured Hausa language lessons for nursery, primary, or secondary school students in accordance with the school curriculum.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans that promote reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in Hausa.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active student participation and cultural appreciation.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and school management to improve language department programs and school-wide cultural activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student academic performance and behavioral development.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a recognized teaching qualification such as NCE, B.Ed, B.A. (Ed), or B.A./B.Sc. in relevant fields.
  • Professional certifications such as a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PDE) and a Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) license will be considered strong added advantages.
  • Previous teaching experience in a reputable educational institution is an advantage.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • A deep understanding of Hausa pedagogy, culture, and grammar.
