About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa’s real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently looking for a talented Hardware Engineer to join our repair centre team in Nigeria, acting as the technical authority to ensure every payment terminal is fit for redeployment and meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver structured onboarding and continuous training for repair technicians covering terminal architecture, fault patterns, and ESD discipline.
- Review QA rejections, track rework rates, and investigate recurring root causes to improve overall repair efficiency.
- Act as the first-line technical escalation point for complex diagnostic issues and liaise with OEM teams.
- Maintain calibrated work tools and ensure strict adherence to workshop safety and quality standards.
- Perform deprecation spot-checks on write-off terminals and conduct root-cause analysis on spare parts quality.
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in electronic device repair, preferably with POS or fintech hardware.
- Strong practical knowledge of PCB troubleshooting, battery systems, and hardware diagnostics.
- Proven ability to coach junior technicians and communicate technical findings clearly.
