About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa's real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently looking for a talented Hardware Engineer to act as the technical authority embedded within our repair centre, bridging the gap between hands-on repair operations and engineering-level quality governance.
Key Responsibilities- Design electronic hardware circuits and create printed circuit board (PCB) layouts in compliance with strict product specifications.
- Maintain and update engineering aspects such as parts and bills of materials for hardware products.
- Develop training processes and repair procedures to ensure technicians meet high quality and technical standards.
- Conduct product and tool testing, evaluating operational capabilities and recommending design modifications.
- Research hardware specifications and manuals to determine design feasibility and application improvements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes, results, and identified technical issues.
- Collaborate closely with repair technicians, hardware engineers, and cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
- Prior experience in payment terminal repair or hardware maintenance is a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and excellent attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet operational deadlines.
