About the Role
Proten is seeking a strategic Group Head of Finance to lead financial control, planning, and reporting across our operations in Nigeria and beyond. Reporting to the Group CEO, you will drive financial governance, capital discipline, and reliable insights to support executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and monthly financial performance reviews.
- Produce accurate management accounts, cash-flow forecasts, balance-sheet reporting, and decision-useful dashboards.
- Establish and maintain effective financial controls, accounting policies, and segregation of duties.
- Manage treasury, liquidity, bank relationships, working-capital planning, and investor due diligence.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax, statutory filing, and relevant financial-reporting standards.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team while implementing robust reporting tools and systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 16 years of progressive finance experience with substantial executive leadership responsibility.
- Mandatory professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, taxation, treasury, and internal controls.
