Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across the group.
  • Oversee general ledger activities and guarantee the absolute accuracy of financial records.
  • Review comprehensive bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and overall cash-flow activities.
  • Coordinate robust budgeting, forecasting, and detailed variance analysis.
  • Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for transactions across diverse business units.
  • Prepare insightful management accounts and comprehensive financial performance reports.
  • Implement, monitor, and update internal financial controls to safeguard assets.
  • Coordinate statutory tax filings and ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes seamlessly.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide professional guidance to accounting personnel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Active ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a group or multi-business environment.
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing consolidated management accounts.
  • Advanced proficiency in modern accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and supervisory capabilities.
