About the Role
Kada Bistro is a premier quick-service restaurant located in Edo State, Nigeria, known for serving quality food in a family-friendly environment for over 17 years. Following our 2024 rebranding from Kada Fried Chicken, we are dedicated to providing an elevated dining experience celebrating local flavors. We are currently looking for a dynamic, skilled, and customer-focused Grill Chef to take charge of our vibrant grill house, ensuring top-notch food quality, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Expertly grill a variety of fish, chicken, and turkey to perfection while preparing shawarma, milkshakes, fruit pops, boli, and signature sauces consistently.
- Conduct daily recipe and plate costing, monitor portion sizes, and minimize wastage to protect profit margins.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging patrons professionally, upselling menu items, and supporting active marketing initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked grill station while strictly adhering to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with management to develop new grill items, attractive combos, and promotional offers.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on culinary experience as a Grill Chef in a fast-paced QSR, restaurant, lounge, or catering establishment.
- Demonstrated expertise in grilling fish, poultry, and traditional Nigerian favorites like boli, alongside shawarma and beverage preparation.
- Strong working knowledge of food costing, pricing strategies, and inventory control.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities combined with a proactive sales mindset.
- High energy, presentable appearance, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a bustling kitchen environment.
- Must reside in Benin City, Edo State, or be ready to relocate immediately.
