About the Role
Slum and Rural Health Initiative is a dynamic nonprofit organization founded in 2017 and officially registered in Nigeria, Ethiopia, and the Gambia. We are dedicated to improving access to healthcare information and services in vulnerable communities using advocacy, research, and technology. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals is passionate about changing the narrative of healthcare delivery in Africa, and we are currently looking for a talented Graphic Designer to help visually communicate our mission.
Key Responsibilities- Design compelling visual assets for digital campaigns, social media platforms, websites, and community outreach materials.
- Translate complex public health data and research findings into clear, engaging infographics and educational materials.
- Collaborate closely with the communications, research, and program teams to maintain brand consistency across all outputs.
- Produce high-quality print and digital collateral including brochures, reports, banners, and presentation decks.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative visual strategies for advocacy and fundraising campaigns.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines and quality standards.
- Proven professional experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably within the nonprofit, public health, or social impact sector.
- A strong portfolio showcasing creative design skills, typography, layout composition, and data visualization.
- Proficiency in standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret abstract concepts into impactful visual stories.
- Relevant academic qualifications in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field.
