About the Role
Ubulu Africa is a digital innovation hub committed to driving impactful digital innovation across Africa. With a focus on venture building and ecosystem building, we catalyze economic empowerment and sustainable development by fostering collaboration between innovators, startups, corporate organisations, academic institutions, and government agencies. We are looking for a creative Graphic Designer who combines strong aesthetic judgment with the ability to translate complex information into engaging visual stories across multiple formats.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and strengthen Ubulu Africa's visual identity across programmes, products, campaigns, events, and organisational materials.
- Develop visual identities, design systems, and communication assets for LinkedIn, Instagram, newsletters, and websites.
- Design professional reports, proposals, presentations, concept notes, research outputs, and workshop materials.
- Transform complex data and insights into clear diagrams, infographics, charts, and frameworks.
- Build and maintain reusable templates, brand assets, and design resources for internal teams.
- Collaborate with Communications, Programmes, Product, and Leadership to interpret briefs and deliver effective visual solutions.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in visual design, graphic design, brand design, or a related role.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, campaigns, reports, presentations, and digital content.
- Strong command of typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency in standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Canva.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and feedback effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in innovation, technology, development, or social impact sectors is a strong advantage.
