About the Role
Advocacy for Resilience and Innovative Solutions for Youths, Women, and Children Empowerment (ARISE), a leading women-led non-profit organization in Nigeria, is seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Design, Media and Communications Intern. This 6-month internship offers hands-on experience in digital communications, multimedia content creation, and organizational visibility while supporting initiatives that drive positive social change for vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in designing engaging graphics, flyers, posters, banners, and infographics for various programmes and activities.
- Support the creation, scheduling, and management of content for the organization's social media platforms.
- Contribute to basic video editing, photography, voice-over production, and multimedia storytelling.
- Assist in preparing newsletters, success stories, and other organizational publications.
- Document project activities through photographs, videos, and interviews while adhering to safeguarding procedures.
- Collaborate with programme teams to translate achievements into compelling visual and written stories.
- Assist with website updates and the maintenance of digital communication resources.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design principles, visual storytelling, and digital content creation.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or CorelDRAW.
- Good understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn and receive feedback.
- A genuine passion for humanitarian work, community development, and social impact.
- A portfolio of previous creative work is an added advantage.
