About the Role
Nigerian Foundries Limited (NFL), the leading ferrous foundry group in sub-Saharan Africa, is launching an intensive 18-month Graduate Trainee Programme for ambitious engineering graduates. Based at our facilities in Ilupeju, Lagos, and Sango-Otta, Ogun State, this career development initiative is designed to groom the next generation of technical leaders in Foundry, Machining, Fabrication, Engineering Design, and 3D Printing.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Graduate Trainee in Engineering Design, you will undergo rigorous cross-functional training and hands-on project execution. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing 3D models, technical drawings, and prototypes using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD.
- Collaborating with production and machining teams to optimize foundry and fabrication processes.
- Participating in engineering research, problem-solving workshops, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reports using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Adhering strictly to safety protocols and quality assurance standards across all plant operations.
To be eligible for this exciting career opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a B.Sc, B.Eng, or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical/Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must not be older than 27 years of age.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD) is strictly mandatory.
- Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, alongside basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
