Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Graduate Assistant in Property and Commercial Law. In this role, you will support the Faculty of Law in delivering exceptional instruction, conducting impactful research, and mentoring students to meet local, national, and global socio-cultural and economic challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Assist senior academic staff in the delivery of lectures, tutorials, and seminars in Property and Commercial Law.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and contribute to academic publications in reputable journals.
- Grade assignments, manage continuous assessment records, and provide academic support to undergraduate law students.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide academic events.
- Perform administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department to ensure smooth running of the faculty.
- Possession of a minimum of a Master Degree in Law (LL.M.) with a strong specialization in Property and Commercial Law.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized institution with a commendable grade.
- Evidence of call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L.) is an added advantage.
