Key Responsibilities- Assist senior academic staff in the Department of Mathematics with undergraduate teaching, tutorial sessions, and grading.
- Conduct supervised research and contribute to academic publications within the field of mathematics.
- Provide academic support and mentorship to undergraduate students during consultation hours.
- Assist in the preparation of laboratory or lecture materials and maintaining departmental academic records.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, academic seminars, and university-wide committees as assigned.
- Pursue higher academic qualifications (Master's and Ph.D.) in line with university guidelines.
- Possess a good honours Bachelor degree with at least a Second-Class Upper Division in Mathematics or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrate clear evidence of academic potential and a strong interest in scholarly research.
- Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must have completed or be currently undergoing the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
