We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Graduate Assistant in Anatomic Pathology to join our Department of Pathology. In this role, you will support academic and clinical activities, contributing to the training of the next generation of healthcare leaders while engaging in cutting-edge medical research and diagnostic services within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior pathologists in conducting post-mortem examinations and gross tissue processing.
  • Support academic staff in preparing and delivering undergraduate lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, specimen logs, and departmental documentation.
  • Participate actively in departmental research projects, seminars, and continuous medical education programs.
  • Collaborate with laboratory scientists and clinical teams to ensure high standards of diagnostic accuracy.
  • Comply with all hospital safety protocols, quality assurance standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. in Human Anatomy or a closely related biological science field from a recognized institution.
  • Mandatory possession of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
  • At least two years of cognate post-qualification experience in a relevant medical or academic setting.
  • Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body where applicable, with a valid practicing license.
  • Demonstrated ICT compliance and proficiency in using digital laboratory and academic tools.
  • High level of integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
