About the Role
Little Saints Montessori School, a well-established private educational institution located in Ilupeju, Lagos, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 6 Teacher specializing in Mathematics and Science. Founded in 1985, our school successfully blends the traditional Montessori method with a rigorous British and Nigerian curriculum to provide holistic early childhood and primary education. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can foster critical thinking, inspire a love for STEM subjects, and guide our primary students toward academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Grade 6 lessons in Mathematics and Science aligned with the blended British and Nigerian curriculum.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students regularly.
- Manage student behavior effectively and promote positive social interactions in line with school policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, school leadership, and parents to support the holistic development of every child.
- Participate in school-wide extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Possess a relevant degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field (NCE or B.Ed is highly preferred).
- Proven teaching experience at the primary level, specifically focusing on Grade 6 Mathematics and Science.
- In-depth knowledge of the British and Nigerian primary school curricula.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
