Brilliant Footsteps International Academy (BFIA), a highly rated private primary and secondary school in Sokoto State established in 2012, is seeking a passionate and qualified Government Teacher. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in Government and civics to secondary school students in accordance with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Integrate moral and ethical values rooted in Islamic teachings seamlessly into daily classroom instruction.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and formative assessments to monitor student progress effectively.
- Encourage critical thinking and class discussions regarding political systems, governance, and civic responsibilities.
- Manage classroom behavior positively to create a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment.
- Participate actively in school meetings, professional development workshops, parent-teacher conferences, and extracurricular student activities.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed), Political Science, Government, or a related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a reputable primary or secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum and WAEC/NECO examination standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
