About the Role
Trucrete Solutions Limited is a dynamic construction management firm renowned for shaping Nigeria's critical infrastructure through engineering excellence, building roads, bridges, and major facilities to international standards. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Geologist to join our growing team and drive the success of our geological exploration, resource development, and operational activities across strategic locations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and execute geological exploration, drilling, and resource development programmes to identify and expand mineral resources.
- Conduct geological mapping, core logging, sampling, and interpretation of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data.
- Develop and maintain accurate geological models, resource estimates, and grade control systems to optimize mining efficiency.
- Manage geological databases and implement rigorous QA/QC procedures to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Provide technical support to mine planning and production teams, minimizing ore loss and dilution during operations.
- Coordinate drilling contractors and field personnel to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all sites.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and present findings to management and key stakeholders.
- Mentor junior geologists and field personnel to promote high standards of professional practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven professional experience in geological exploration, resource development, or mine geology within the construction or mining sector.
- Strong familiarity with geological database management and QA/QC protocols.
- Proficiency in industry-standard geological software such as Leapfrog, Micromine, acQuire, or equivalent tools.
- Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
