About the Role
Halogen Group, West Africa's leading security and enterprise solutions provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Injection Moulding Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing operations in Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in operating and monitoring injection moulding machines to deliver high-quality plastic components while adhering strictly to safety and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate injection moulding machines safely and efficiently in line with approved standard operating procedures.
- Load raw materials and assist with machine setups, toolings, and mould changes.
- Monitor critical machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle time for optimal product consistency.
- Inspect finished plastic products thoroughly to ensure they meet stringent quality specifications.
- Identify, document, and report product defects, machine faults, and operational irregularities promptly.
- Perform routine machine maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting to minimise operational downtime.
- Maintain accurate daily production logs, recording output, waste, material usage, and downtime.
- Ensure the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of raw materials, moulds, tools, and finished goods.
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area while complying strictly with health, safety, and PPE regulations.
- Collaborate closely with Production Supervisors and team members to meet daily targets and reduce waste.
- Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC or equivalent educational qualification.
- Technical or vocational certification in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Technology, or a related field is a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience operating injection moulding machines within a manufacturing setting.
- Sound foundational knowledge of plastic raw materials, moulding processes, and quality assurance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability in basic machine troubleshooting and routine checks.
