About the Role
Viju Industries Nigeria Limited, a leading and fast-growing name in the Nigerian beverage production industry, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Generator Technician to join our dynamic technical team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining our high-capacity power generation infrastructure to support our continuous manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on natural gas and diesel generators rated above 800KW.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct regular operational inspections, testing, and servicing of heavy-duty power plants.
- Maintain accurate logs of fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with the broader engineering team to optimize power plant efficiency and safety compliance.
- Respond swiftly to emergency power outages and execute rapid troubleshooting protocols.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on maintenance and operational experience with natural gas or diesel generators rated above 800KW.
- Relevant academic qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Deep understanding of heavy-duty engine mechanics, alternator functions, and synchronization panels.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced industrial environment.
