About the Role
Mudiame International Limited is looking for a dedicated and experienced Generator Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic technical team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and reliability of all power generating sets across our facilities, minimizing downtime and supporting our daily business continuity. Key Responsibilities- Perform routine scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, and comprehensive overhauls on various capacities of industrial generators.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and execute prompt repairs to restore optimal performance.
- Conduct regular daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of generator systems, fuel levels, batteries, and control panels.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, fuel consumption, and spare parts inventory.
- Respond swiftly to emergency power outages and technical failures during and outside of normal working hours.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during all maintenance operations.
- Possession of an OND, HND, or relevant Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on professional experience in generator maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong working knowledge of Perkins, Cummins, Caterpillar, or other major industrial generator brands.
- Proven ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Good problem-solving skills, physical fitness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
