About the Role
Lonadek is currently seeking a strategic and results-driven General Manager for Piling and Deep Foundations to oversee our heavy infrastructure operations in Nigeria. In this executive leadership role, you will champion our commitment to local content development, technical excellence, and national socio-economic transformation while managing complex geotechnical projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coordinate, and oversee daily execution across all technical and piling project sites, ensuring flawless engineering delivery and strict quality control.
- Translate board-level objectives into robust operational milestones, protecting corporate project timelines and defending bottom-line profitability.
- Build, inspire, and manage high-performing, cross-functional teams of project managers, site engineers, and technical personnel.
- Oversee deep foundation operations from geotechnical assessment interpretation through to piling execution, load testing, and client handover.
- Drive optimal equipment and workforce utilisation, proactively mitigating supply chain delays, site downtime, and operational risks.
- Lead stakeholder relationships, interface with institutional clients, and ensure near-zero variance on contract delivery.
- A Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng) in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline is compulsory.
- Active professional certification and registration with COREN or equivalent recognised bodies such as NSE, ICE, or IStructE.
- A minimum of 15 to 20 years of progressive, demonstrable leadership experience within the civil engineering, construction, or heavy infrastructure sectors.
- Proven, extensive track record in handling large-scale piling and deep foundation engineering projects within the Nigerian or regional African market.
- Exceptional grasp of project finance, budget tracking, procurement discipline, and contract management.
