About the Role

JMG, the world's largest FG Wilson dealer and a trusted leader in power generation solutions across Nigeria, is seeking a strategic and analytical General Manager - Commercial Operations. In this pivotal executive role, you will sit at the intersection of Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Revenue Operations, and Business Intelligence, providing critical governance, performance visibility, and controls without directly owning sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and strengthen commercial governance frameworks, driving pricing discipline, margin protection, and policy compliance.
  • Oversee revenue realization across the order-to-cash cycle, managing order conversion, invoicing ratios, backlog, and reducing revenue leakage.
  • Lead executive performance reporting, KPI governance, and data-driven business reviews to ensure cross-functional accountability.
  • Review customer payment performance, manage receivables exposure, and coordinate collection strategies to optimize working capital.
  • Oversee inventory governance, monitor ageing risks, and facilitate robust demand-supply alignment discussions.
  • Monitor logistics performance, delivery efficiency, and service levels to mitigate commercial constraints.
  • Participate in executive S&OP reviews to assess forecast, supply, and commercial risks.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • 12 to 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in complex multi-business, distribution, manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environments.
  • Demonstrated functional background in commercial operations, revenue operations, commercial finance, or supply chain governance.
  • Strong technical strengths in pricing discipline, order-to-cash, margin analysis, working capital, inventory governance, and risk management.
  • Exceptional leadership style characterized by executive presence, constructive challenge, analytical judgment, and strong accountability orientation.
