About the Role
XEJet, a premier Nigerian airline renowned for delivering exceptional private jet experiences on commercial routes, is seeking a strategic and commercially driven General Manager, Cargo. Based at Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA2) in Lagos, you will lead our expanding cargo unit, spearhead revenue generation, and position our operations as a market leader across domestic and regional routes including Abuja, Kano, and Port Harcourt.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to significantly grow cargo revenue and market share.
- Identify, pursue, and secure lucrative business opportunities across domestic, regional, and emerging international markets.
- Establish and nurture robust strategic partnerships with key industry stakeholders, including freight forwarders, major exporters, third-party logistics companies, and relevant government agencies.
- Oversee seamless end-to-end cargo operations, guaranteeing maximum efficiency, absolute reliability, and strict adherence to regulatory standards.
- Optimize dynamic pricing models, aircraft capacity utilization, and comprehensive service offerings to maximize profitability.
- Drive overall financial performance through rigorous cost control, budget management, and profit optimization initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, customer-centric cargo team dedicated to operational excellence.
- Extensive executive-level experience in commercial air cargo management, logistics, or large-scale freight operations within the aviation sector.
- Proven track record of driving substantial revenue generation, market expansion, and successful business development initiatives.
- Comprehensive, up-to-date understanding of NCAA, ICAO, and IATA cargo regulations, safety standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated strategic leadership capability in managing both complex operational functions and commercial management teams.
