About the Role
Hotel Capitol is a prestigious 3-star hospitality destination located in the heart of Omole Phase 1, Lagos. We pride ourselves on delivering luxury and comfort through our 28 tastefully furnished rooms and suites. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced General Maintenance Personnel who specializes in AC repairs, plumbing, and electrical systems to join our facility management team and uphold our high standards of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air conditioning (AC) units to ensure optimal climate control throughout the hotel.
- Handle general plumbing tasks including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining steady water supply systems.
- Manage electrical repairs such as fixing lighting, power outlets, generators, and other electrical appliances.
- Carry out general facility repairs including fixing furniture, doors, locks, and responding promptly to guest maintenance requests.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by inspecting fire safety systems and reporting any hazards to hotel management.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the housekeeping and front desk departments to ensure all guest rooms and public areas remain fully functional.
- Trade certificate, City & Guilds, or Ordinary National Diploma in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of basic repair techniques and workplace safety protocols.
- Must reside within close proximity to our location, ideally around Ogba, Ikeja, Ojota, Agege, Ketu, Ojodu Berger, or Akute axis.
