About the Role
Watford Spring School is a prominent, government-approved co-educational private school located in Usiefrun, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria. Operating under our core motto of 'Excellence and Character,' we provide a secure, nurturing environment that fosters continuous educational development from early childhood through secondary education. We are currently seeking a dedicated and watchful Gate Keeper to join our operations team and help maintain a safe campus for our students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control pedestrian and vehicular access to the school premises, ensuring all visitors are properly identified and screened.
- Maintain an accurate logbook of all incoming and outgoing visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Ensure the main school gates are securely locked and monitored at appropriate times to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Monitor campus perimeter and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security breaches immediately to school management.
- Assist students, parents, and visitors with general directions and inquiries in a polite and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other security personnel and school staff to maintain overall campus safety and order.
- Minimum of a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or SSCE qualification.
- Proven previous experience working as a gate keeper, security guard, or in a similar safety role.
- Strong vigilance, situational awareness, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polite and respectful demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies.
- Residing in or willing to commute to Usiefrun, Ughelli South, Delta State.
